Oh, What a weekend it was!

Hello friends,
Oh, What a weekend it was. Let me give you an idea of what I am talking about.
After a grueling , but productive week at the studio, I ended the normal work week by going to a couple of late appointments on Friday. Instead of heading back home I decided to grab a bite to eat with my loved one and attended one of the fianl shows of Brighton Beach Memooirs at the Lake Worth Theater. (Side note) This playhouse consistantly produces top quality main stage productions. This is the end of the currently running Neil Simon play( the first in a trilogy) Brighton Beach Memoirs. Great is not a sufficient word. Local actors bonded together to make the audience feel as if they were really a family dealing with all those family incidents we all are familiar with. I suggest you go to lakeworthplayhouse.org and check out future stage and concert coming in the following months.
On Saturday, after some regular weekend chores(something most of have to do each and every weekend) It was off to Ft. Lauderdale to see the premiere of the new Independant film produced by Marcie Gorman called" The Incubus". It was a great night. After parking in the wrong lot which was only about 8 blocks away from the theater, we were informed that "you can't get there from here". It seemed that the Boat Holiday parade was going on and all the bridges were closed.Well, after finding a cabbie who knew where we needed to go, and could get us there, we hopped in the cab and showed up only 45 minutes late. Alas, everyone had the same problem, so the evening events started about an hour late. We did the picture thing. We did the red carpet thing. We also did the consumption of alcohol thing. What a great way to start the night. So after listeniing to performers from the movie sound track, it was time for the movie. I must say I was impressed witht he quality of this production. Everything from the editing to the acting. This was so much better than a typical low budget Indy Film. My hats off to Marcie Gorman( Exec. Producer), Shayne Leighton( writer, director and star) and anthong Espina( the composer of the score to the movie).I hope you all will look for "The Incubus" when it comes to a theater near you. Needless to say, as you can figure, there was an after party. And that it was! Champagne, beer, Other alcoholic libations as well as some great foods. What made this party was more than the food. It was the mix of the people and the way they appreciated the work and support by all their family, friends and media. No big egos. Only admiration for those involved.
So now it's 3:30 AM and I am just getting home. No big deal except that I have to be at the Holiday Parade in Wellington. Ok, so I can function on 2 1/2 hours sleep right? I did. A great day. A Great Parade as usual. Anyone wanting to get involved in some great community events should contact events@palmswest.com. Of course, you can always get to me through peterslivingroom2yahoo.com or through peter@w4cy.com. So the day was over. A nice loooooong hot shower , a quick bite to eat and a great football game to fall asleep to. It was truley a great and event full weekend.
Now I can look forward to an exciting week at W4CY Radio. Beside the other great shows this week, Peter's Livingroom will have some interesting guests and topics this week. Here Come the Holidays

Thanksgiving has ended, as well as all the left over food from all the feasts from that extended weekend. I am always amazed how eating turkey can put you to sleep! The other thing that always got me was that every year the"Seasons Holidays" seem to be starting at retail outlets earlier and earlier. Can't think of any other celebration that starts 2 months ahead of time. That aside, it is time for Peter's Livingroom to start it's yearend retrospective. Starting next week we will have what I call the "Peter's Livingroom Retrospective" A trilogy of sorts. Starting off with Peter's Livingroom's ghost of shows and holidays past. Then we'll move on to the Present and ultimately end with Shows and ghosts of shows of the future.
If you had any part of Peter's Livingroom in the past or want to be part of it's future, PLEASE contact us at peterslivingroom@yahoo.com. I am planning on this being a party atmosphere through the "dropping of the New Years Ball".
It has definetly been a great journey this past year and expect even greater things for 2010.
I hope you'll contact me and want to be part of the greatest thing to happen to radio and entertainment since the creation of fire.
Hang on for a great ride.

I also want to thank all of you who have been part of this ride and hope your ride with us continues through the coming year.
This isn't the last Blog of 2009, so stay in touch. Listen to the shows and definetly send me emails. Remember Monday at 9 PM, Tuesday at 7 PM and Thursday at Noon and 3 PMThanks,
Peter
